In Person Meeting
All classes are $10.00. If there is a kit fee it is payable to the instructor in class. Please pay using paypal as spots are limited. You may sign up at the meeting ONLY if spots are still available. There will be an open beading table available for those who are not in a class.
Bell Earrings using increasing PRAW (prismatic right angle weave)
Instructor: Michelle Gregersen
Create ta pair of dangly earrings with 6 or 8 mm pearl/round beads nestled into a cone of 11/0 or 10/0 beads using increasing PRAW stitch. We will make one together and you can make another to match.
Please Bring: Snips, chain nose pliers (just in case), beading needle, your own beads & thread if you have your own.
Kit Fee: $5.00
11/0 Toho beads in any colour of your choice approx. 3 g.
15/0 Toho beads in contrasting or same colour as 11/0 approx.1 g.
Two 8 mm round beads or pearls
Two earring findings in metal alloy finish (choice of gold or silver)
Beading needle size 10
Thread white or black (Fireline 4 or 6 lb is what I use)
Circular Peyote stitch
Instructor: Marilyn Parker
Create a flat closed-back bezel for a coin or a round flat backed piece
You can use any flat backed piece – whether it be a coin, a stone cabochon, or a crystal flat-back. Learn the basics of circular peyote stitch and ways to attach it to other things.
Please Bring: Bring basic tool kit - scissors, needle, thread and if you have something you want to bezel. If not, coins will be provided

Exploring spiral netted rope
(aka DNA spiral, Russian spiral)

An introduction to this versatile technique for making super-flexible beaded ropes
Please Bring: Beading needle, favourite beading thread (Fireline, One-G, Nymo, etc.).
Seed beads in size 11/0 (background colour) and 8/0 (three different colours).
ALTERNATIVES: Substitute the 8/0 seed beads with 3mm firepolish crystals or 3mm bugle beads (#1 bugles).
Kit Fee: $0.00 Instructor will have some beads available if you need them.
Pondo Stitch
Instructor: Liz Kennedy
Pondo stitch is a variation of right angle weave. It is not difficult and is very forgiving when being worked. Learn how to do Pondo stitch and make yourself a bracelet by adding a clasp, or make two squares and put them on ear wires for a pair of earrings.
Please Bring: two tubes of different coloured 8/0 seed beads, some beading thread, a needle, scissors and a bead mat.
Kit Fee: $0.00 students must bring their own supplies
Simple Ear Wires
Instructor: Deborah Beesley
Ear wires are a great basic wire technique to have in your tool kit. All you need are a few tools and wire. Please Note: We will be making the ear wires only.
Please Bring: bic style pen; flush cutters; round nose pliers, jewellery file (I will have a few pair available if we need to share, but bring what you can)
Kit Fee: $5.00 (practice wire and sterling silver wire for one pair of simple ear wires) or bring your own 20g wire
